Picture Perfect

i miss you so much, my Angel!

Death and the Titanic

What struck me as more meaningful than the love story in the movie, "Titanic", is how various characters reacted in the face of impending death:

1. The ship designer seemed repentant, he was solemn and regretful, reflecting upon his mistake as he let the others rush for the lifeboats.
2. The captain seemed attached, disillusioned by his loss of reputation and the possibility of a happy glorious retirement-as he held on to the helms, not escaping, awaiting death. Too much pride?
3. The bad guy was unscrupulous, trying to bribe and cheat his way to escape death.
4. An officer could not stand the pressure of maintaining order. He was forced to shoot one of the passengers who did not queue for the life boats. Regretful and helpless, he shot himself!
5. There are those who simply jumped into the sea to swim after the lifeboats already out at sea.
6. There are those praying feverishly for help.
7. The typical person fights others to get himself into a lifeboat.
8. There are those (like J…

A Guide To Positive Imaging For Weight Loss

A Guide To Positive Imaging For Weight Loss

Have you ever imagined how visualization can play an important part in losing weight and maintaining a healthy lifestyle that keeps it off. Losing weight can be difficult for many people who use fad diets and pills to achieve their weight loss goals without letting their mind help in the process.

Visualization is a powerful technique that can help you make lasting lifestyle changes. Just by "day dreaming", you can significantly improve your chances in achieving your goals.

Visualization is a great weight loss tool and its as simple as visualizing your body as you want your body to look like. This mental image of yourself is then transferred to…

Shed the Chubb!

Shed the Chubb! Start the year right, owrayt! I have been suffering the stigma of knowing I am one of the chubby chub lads combating to get rid of extra "chunkiness" I’ve reaped for years. These annoying love handles have been making going to the beach miserable and painful for me. And for the first time in my pubescent life, I am dead serious to get past this austere stage.

I recently took a picture (above, after my cardio exercise) of my entirety prior to me undergoing my self-imposed alcohol and carb-free diet (which I hope I won’t get crazy afterwards). And the evident beer guts and love handles could probably one gross reason why I have decided to blur out the picture. (I don’t have the guts to show off, YET).

To give you some hunch of how I used to eat, damn, I eat like a construction worker! I eat to death. I won’t leave the table without filling my stomach until it gets bloated! And funny that I ended up bending downwards heading to my room because of my tumefied tummy…

Just stop and do it!

I know what's bothering me.
I know why it's troubling me.
I know when it's disturbing me.
I know I am responsible.

I know all that - which makes it worse!
Makes it really bothering.
Makes it really troubling.
Makes it really disturbing.
I know how to stop all this.
Yet I do not really stop it!

And I know this too - that I lack the effort -
which makes it even worse!
Makes it even more bothering.
Makes it even more troubling.
Makes it even more disturbing....
that I still do not stop it.

Not practicing what I have learned.
Plain plain dead plain laziness.
My fault of faults.
Practice!
Hesitate no more.
Just do it!

Rainbow Magic

There seems to be less and less magic that we can experience as we grow older and older. I guess it is because we have this nagging feeling whenever we wake up to this world in the morning that we have seen it all.

Nothing is really interesting anymore. Even close relationships can become unbearably lifeless. Best friends and lovers can even run out of subjects of interest. I figure the point is not to seek more new exciting experiences, but to realize that the same old stuff is mostly good enough.

Yes, that might be "boring." But if we live each day, cleansed of yesterday's prejudices and unnecessary judgment, this same old world becomes anew.

Magic is abound.

A pleasant good morning to all! God Bless!

Pagsanjan Getaway

The clique of 5 (wahaha) made it to the famed Pagsanjan (Magdapio) Falls one saturday afternoon. After 9 years of longing, at last, I was able to experience the thrill of shooting the rapids and the famous massage, "spanking" as our balikbayan friend, Ricky, dubbed it.

Good Morning! Keep on Smiling!

I've always wanted to start my day with a SMILE.

My Year-End Countdown (imported from my multiply account: deamonaire.multiply.com)

1st day of December ... (31 days to go)

I would like to welcome 2009 in an entirely different approach for I somehow failed to make it this year.

I thought 2-00-8 (being 28 as my favorite number) would be my year, but to my disappointment, it wasn't.

So here I am, at the first day of the last month of this year, setting up my goals to better prepare myself for a changed me in 2009.

The very first thing that came out of my mind is to ... SHED the CHUBB! Get rid of these love handles and beer guts out of sight!

So I laid my plans, took pictures of my entirety at this point (will be posted soon), and I will watchfully scrutinize each daily course (optimistic) after which the upshots will be reviewed on the first day of the first month of next year.

As of this jiffy, I will not divulge anything as to how I planned to work on it but I will definitely uncover the "would-be secrets" until I am bold eno…

At the Annex

i really had fun! although i'm sick and hell tired of my sore throat, i still manage to enjoy a fun-filled day at the Annex (SM City North Edsa).

Upside Down

1. We, human beings actually pay money to scare the hell out of ourselves. We seek the thrills of terrifying roller-coasters and horror movies and mistake them as the highs of extreme happiness.

2. We fall in love madly with total strangers, even movie stars, and forget that those around us who we think we knew too tiresomely well are the ones who are willing to lay their lives for us out of love. Yes, I'm referring to the true boundless love of parents that goes beyond most love. We might pay to see our idols perform without hesitation while having second thoughts about giving more allowance to our parents for their well being.

3. We eat hot, exotic spicy food and turn our stomachs inside out with fire, sweat like mad as we pant and pant and feel that was "real good!" While this happens, the yearning for the coolness of peace of mind has no place in one's mind! The food is too good to be true-at that moment. We often would rather go for such a meal than be at peace!
